Introduction

One of the things many find sorely lacking in the BioWare/Beamdog NPCs is the availability of more complex relationships presented by modern NPC mods—especially in regard to "friendships", i.e. the relationships NPCs have with the PC when not romancing them.

This mod adds a series of dialogues with Jaheira.

Installation

Setup Instructions

The Jaheira Friendship is a WeiDU mod packaged in a ZIP archive. Extract the contents of the archive into your game directory. Then, run setup-JaheiraFriendship.exe (Windows), setup-JaheiraFriendship.command (macOS), or setup-JaheiraFriendship.sh (Linux), and follow the on-screen instructions.

To uninstall or change components, run the setup file again and follow the prompts.

Compatibility and Installation Order

The Jaheira Friendship mod should be compatible with all WeiDU mods; however, we cannot test every single one. It is compatible with the original BG2 and BG2EE. If you do encounter an error, please let us know by posting a message at our forums or GitHub.

A: With this mod installed, you should be able to experience up to 19 new dialogues in SoA and up to 6 dialogues in ToB.

Q: Does this mod change the game in any way besides adding more dialogue to Jaheira?
A: It adds a small fix for the timer of the 4 original friendship talks.

Q: Is there any chance that player initiated dialogue will be added in future?
A: There are currently no plans for it.

Q: I would like to translate the Jaheira Friendship mod into another language. Any chance you could TRAify the mod?
A: Sure, we'd be happy to. If you are interested in translating, just send us a line and I'll see what I can do for the next version.
